This page was to be oriented another way. When I finished it, the way it is in the picture was what spoke to me. In fact this picture was taken another way and I turned it to get it to look like it does.
Some information on spirals from the website http://symbolic-meanings.com/2007/10/08/meaning-of-spiral/:
In terms of astrology, mysticism and myth the spiral translates into meanings of spirituality and rebirth.
In terms of spirituality, the spiral symbol represents the path leading from outer consciousness (materialism, external awareness, ego, outward perception) to the inner soul (enlightenment, unseen essence, nirvana, cosmic awareness).
In terms of rebirth or growth, the spiral symbol represents the consciousness of nature beginning from the core or center and thus expanding outwardly. This is the way of all things, as recognized by most mystics.
I have been questioning the meaning of a few things the past few months and also trying to get into yoga and healthier eating, so the spiral and its meaning is very appropriate for me right now. It is also a symbol I have always been attracted to.
I am also posting several pictures of Juno. She will be one on November 3. These were taken in September and October.

Sweet dog
I love spirals but have never looked into the meaning of them, thanks for sharing that. It fits.
I do like the diamond orientation for your piece.
happy Beading!
Like you piece very much, it is fun to look at the meanings of designs after the piece is finished, sometimes it can be a real Aha moment.
Both the pieces are beautiful. It's so interesting that your pages are so different. You are very creative!

Wow! What a nice eye feast you gave us here!
Your hills of central CA piece is totally lovely. I'm thrilled at how, after 7 years, you accomplished your dream of capturing your impressions in beads! Can't wait to see your 8 pieces on our website!
The new, smaller format seems to be working quite well for you, and I love that you've found a way to express what is going on right now for you. That's what this BJP is all about!
Although I'm more of a cat person, your Juno is a beauty.
Great to have you back... Robin A.
Both of your pieces are very pretty. I enjoyed learning the symbolism because I like to use spirals as well. Juno is such a beautiful dog too!! Nice work.
Your pages is wonderful, I like all the textures and the richness of it.
Juno is beautiful! I just love GS and had a retired Fidelco dog for 5 lucky years for me. He looks just like Juno. (Fidelco dogs are guide dogs that are trained right here in CT.) Love them.
Hi, thank you all for looking and commenting. Robin, you are right, when I was done with September I realized I was really journalling with that page. I do not always like to write, so journalling in beads works for me!
Juno is actually a Shiloh Shepherd. She looks like a GSD though.
Happy Beading Nancy
I forgot to add, I am very pleased with my CA piece and that after 7 years I got it done. Thanks again, Nancy
Very, very nice, Nancy... I always get a very "calming" sense when I look at your pages. Very balanced. I love your work! Juno is very pretty too! (not as cute as my cats, but there you go!) kidding! :)
Your dog looks so sweet and well-behaved but then I noticed he's on his leash so maybe he's still a little frisky?
Yay, you are catching up on 2007 and still keeping up with 2008 at the same time. I've ended up turning things upside down too. Sometimes they just want to be that way.
